Rezoning, newsletter, associationSandy, I'm glad that I finally heard that concern about people rounding that curve too fast from someone else! I live at 1044 Stone Mill, and I've watched that for years. In fact, I complained several times in the last two years about a particular SCHOOL BUS rounding that curve too fast in both directions and on the wrong side of the road in both directions! It's a miracle that no one has had a head-on collision up to this point!
The neighborhood directory is a good idea that can be done rather quickly; there is a link on this website to establish that.
The newsletter is also a good idea, especially at a time like this when a nearby rezoning threatens our community's safety, infrastructure, school capacity, and our property value. I do have doubts about sustaining it otherwise, unless there is enough community concern and involvement to reconstitute our homeowners' association. That, of course, requires community-wide consensus and some legal fees for the filing of the Articles of Incorporation (see sites like http://accessfayetteville.org/neighborhood_resources/neighborhood_associations/a_guide_for_starting_a_successful_neighborhood_association.html).
I'd be happy to participate in the consideration of any of these. In the meantime, everyone, keep up with the rezoning issue at http://www.savelawrenceville.com/ and be at the planning and commission meetings to protect your rights and our community!Website:www.savelawrenceville.com
